Bank of New York Mellon

In the post-deregulated UK mail market PostalAudits assisted BNYM with a consolidation programme consisting of printing and mailing services. PostalAudits began by assessing a complex combination of multiple in-house mailrooms across the UK, as well as outsourced third party mail vendors.

Within eight weeks of initiation, PostalAudits delivered a Report detailing our mail usages and options for change. By providing this accurate and comprehensive report, PostalAudits heightened BNYM’s understanding of the Mail market as well as our usage thereof. We gained a clear understanding of ‘What Is’ and ‘To Be’ scenarios. The PostalAudits Report indicated a realistic saving of a significant level.

By following a rapid implementation plan, these savings are on course to materialise within 12 months of delivering the Report. BNYM’s mail processes also became more integrated and a clearer path for future consolidation was mapped. Throughout the programme, the advice provided by Derek Fairhurst and the team at PostalAudits proved invaluable.

PostalAudits’ combination of mail process and accounting experience assisted with practical issue resolution. The ‘soft skills’ associated with a top class consultancy united previously fragmented opinions. Throughout and well after completion of their services, PostalAudits exceeded our expectations by delivering more than expected. Out of genuine interest PostalAudits followed our progress and provided valuable input whenever required.

We intend continuing the relationship with PostalAudits into the future because of synergies in business culture: Client Focus, Trust, Teamwork and Outperformance!

Scottish Power

Scottish Power Energy Retail Limited recently engaged Postal Audits to conduct an in depth analysis of its mailing processes in order to identify what opportunities were available to reduce costs, streamline processes and to investigate the feasibility of introducing competition to its mailing requirements. This analysis was conducted to agreed schedule and within budget. The resultant action plan provided by PostalAudits will be taken forward over the next 12 months, in order deliver significant cost reductions in one of its major areas of expenditure.

Fidelity Investments

PostalAudits delivered a comprehensive review of our postal expenditure. We have already received significant benefits from implementing the recommendations and now look forward to working with them to introduce further improvements to the way we plan and buy our postal services.

PostalAudits' understanding of how Royal Mail and other service providers operate, along with their technical knowledge of mail services has also helped us unlock retrospective discounts and benefits that would otherwise have been missed.
